What is the Annual Fund Drive?

Since its first fund drive in 1984, the BCACS Foundation has reached out to parents, alumni, staff, parishioners and our community for their support of Catholic education. Contributions to the annual fund drive are unrestricted. These gifts allow our administrators and school board to direct resources where they are most needed whether it is program improvements, tuition assistance, equipment and facility upgrades, staff salaries and benefits or professional development.

Why Should I Donate to the Annual Fund Drive?

Supporting the excellence of our Catholic Schools is a responsibility we all share. The three pillars of support – of Shared Responsibility – for our schools are tuition, parish support, and the BCACS Foundation. The BCACS Foundation Annual Fund Drive provides over 15% of school revenue.Simply stated, a gift to the BCACS Foundation is an investment in Catholic education. If you have not already financially supported this year’s Annual Fund Drive, we ask your consideration.

What Kind of Gifts Can I Donate?

The simplest and most frequently used method of providing outright support is a cash gift. You may benefit from such gifts with a charitable deduction on your tax return. We accept:

Cash
Personal checks or money orders
Credit Card
Stock Transfers
Automatic withdrawal from your checking or savings account. Complete the Electronic Debit Authorization Form and return it to the BCACS Foundation Office and we will process your request. You may designate the gift amount you want withdrawn bi-monthly or monthly. You may discontinue automatic withdrawal at any time by written notice.
Payroll Deduction through your employer. Complete the Payroll Deduction Form for your employer. Please either fax or mail a copy to the BCACS Foundation so we can confirm receipt of your gifts in our account.

Appreciated Securities

Gifts of marketable stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares may be the best way for you to make a gift to the BCACS Foundation. Stocks, which have appreciated in value, can be given outright, usually for a larger tax savings than an equivalent cash gift would bring. Stocks, which have lost value, can be sold by the owner, who claims the capital loss and takes the gift deduction. Your gift of appreciated securities makes it possible for you to give more to the BCACS Foundation at no greater cost to you.

Gifts In-Kind

Contribute goods or services that would otherwise need to be purchased by the BCACS Foundation. Such items could include: construction materials, instructional equipment, printing costs, etc. In-kind donations are often fully or partially tax deductible.

Matching Gifts

Many donors multiply their support for the BCACS Foundation each year by making use of their employer's matching gift programs. The BCACS Foundation is grateful to these companies and foundations for their generosity in recognition of quality Catholic education. To find out if your company participates in such a program, consult your Human Resource Department.
